Whiskey Sour (traditional)

Derives from the original 1850’s -Brandy Sour. Sours can be made with any spirit in which the fruit juices produce the “sour”.

Set

Go

  1. In a shaker combine the whiskey, lemon juice, egg white, and syrup.
  2. Shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass.
  3. Garnish with a cherry and an orange slice.

What you should know

Note: You can omit the traditional egg white. You can substitute the gomme syrup for ½ tsp powdered sugar.
