These French cookies/crackers are crisp and a little bit sweet. This is a great accompaniment for cheeses. Makes about 2 dozen.

Go

  1. Place butter, flour, hazelnuts, sugar, and beaten egg yolks in food processor and process to a smooth dough.
  2. Scape out dough and shape into log about 1 ½ inches thick.
  3. Wrap and chill.
  4. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  5. Remove dough from wrap and slice into ¼ slices and arrange on prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake 7-10 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Transfer to racks to cool.

What you should know

I like these with goat cheese topped with fruit.
