If you make soups or mashed potatoes then you simply should not be without an immersion blender. Next to the serrated peeler, this is the best invention to hit the kitchen in recent years. I’ve tested a few of these and this one is my favorite. The motor is surprisingly powerful and the speed adjustment is easy to control. The power cord is long which can be quite handy. Best yet you can pop the whole thing in the dishwasher when you are done.
