Chopped

It’s a Tuesday night treat, curled up on the sofa, most likely snacking on something inappropriate, trying to second-guess what a chef is going to do with a basket of unrelated food products.

Can you make a dessert from Meyer lemons, Gram Crackers, lychee and bacon?

Nigella Bites Me

I know, it’s pathetic but I can’t resist Nigella Lawson. Give me a voluptuous woman who can cook and who loves to eat and I turn into a pile of goo… quite smitten.

Does that mean I am shallow?

If you like Jamie Oliver you have to see Jamie’s presentation to the TED conference. Jamie is inspirational and it will change the way you look at the world of food and make you believe that change in America is really possible.

Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution

I am not generally a fan of reality tv or truth be told cooking shows. Add to that the fact that I have every reason to hate Jamie Oliver. He is younger and smarter than I am, he cooks better than I do and is eminently more successful. And worse my wife thinks he is cute. But Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution is absolutely brilliant and compelling television. Jamie has put far more than his reputation on the line in his effort to tackle the burgeoning obesity epidemic in America. The guy really cares and he is determined to keep fighting for our benefit. When teenagers take up Jamie’s cause they do so with a vengeance and the viewer can believe that perhaps real change may be brewing in the wake of a passionate chef from the United Kingdom.
