I know of Underwood Family Farms in Moorpark where we have been for pumpkins, but am looking for another suggestion…

There’s a new wine shop in Glendale that looks very promising. Their emphasis is specializing in everyday wines from Italy, France and California. I’m always looking for new and reasonable wines and this seems like it might be just the place.

Hare Hollow Vinegar

For those of you in the US here’s a vinegar that I frequently use in salad dressings. I was introduced to the line of vinegars when guests from Northern California brought some as a gift. They now have a standing invitation. And when I run dry I go to the website and order some refills. I always order extra for gifts.

This is one of my favorite Korean Markets in LA. It reminds me of the local markets when I was a kid before the mega grocers took over. The only difference is that everything is Korean. It’s a Korean Disneyland for cooks.

Deep Fryer
